Renee's Texas Tostadas
Renee's Texas Tostadas
Lanie's daughter Renee is an artist in her own right. Very talented,
likes to use lots of colors and styles. And she brings that to the
tables of QsCafe with this authentic Austin Texas Tostada dish.
Folks I am here to tell you that this simple yet scrumptious plate
will have your guest yelling O'Lay from the moment you bring them
out of the oven, till the plate is licked clean.
One package of prepared Tostadas, you can find
them in the Mexican aisle of your grocery
right by the taco shells.
One can of Black Refried Beans. I guess you
could use regular or low fat refried beans,
but black beans are best.
One package of shredded Mexican blend cheese.
Assorted toppings like Pico de Gallo, avocado, cilantro, salsas,
anything you would put on a taco. We liked the cucumbers,
onions, and small tomatoes.
Place tostada shells on a baking sheet and apply a dab of refried
beans to each spreading it out all over the shell. Top with some
shredded cheese, and place in a 350 degree oven till the cheese
on top melts. Take to the table with the assorted toppings and
enjoy. See I told you it was easy and filling.
